​(a) Deciduous trees on improved property or rights-of-way shall be pruned as needed.

​(b) Trees shall be managed to promote their general health by providing these cultural practices when necessary:

​(1) Insect and disease control.

​(2) Fertilization.

​(3) Irrigation.

​(4) Staking.

​(5) Guying.

​(6) Wrapping, cabling and/or bracing.

​(c) Hanging limb and branch growth shall be maintained at fifteen feet above streets and eight feet above sidewalks.

​(d) Any tree which is affected by epidemic disease or insect infestation, and therefore poses a threat to other trees and plants in the community, shall be treated so as to control the spread of the problem organism.

​(e) An inventory of Protected Trees on public land shall be completed and maintained.

​(f) No single species shall make up more than fifteen (15%) percent of the total tree population on public lands.

​(1) To reduce susceptibility to epidemic disease.

​(2) To prevent uniform senescence.
