1248.07 SIDEWALKS AND CURBS.
(a) Required Improvements.
(1) Sidewalks shall be included within the dedicated right-of-way and are required on both sides of the street. Sidewalks shall be constructed of concrete. At the discretion of the Planning Commission, trails constructed of asphalt may be substituted.
(2) Sidewalks shall be a minimum of five feet (5’) in width.
(3) Concrete curbs and gutters are required for all streets.
(b) Pedestrian Access Easements. The Planning Commission may require, in order to facilitate pedestrian access from the streets to schools, parks, playgrounds, or other nearby streets, perpetual unobstructed easements at least ten feet (10’) in width. Easements shall be indicated on the plat. Sidewalks shall be required in pedestrian access easements.
