1262.01 BUILDING AND ZONING INSPECTOR; DUTIES.
The position of Building and Zoning Inspector is hereby established. The Inspector, designated by Council, shall administer and enforce this Zoning Code. The Inspector may be provided with the assistance of such other persons as Council may direct. If the Inspector finds that any of the provisions of this Zoning Code are being violated, he or she shall notify, in writing, the person responsible for such violation, indicating the nature of the violation and ordering the action necessary to correct it. The Inspector shall order the discontinuance of an illegal use of land, a building or a structure; order the removal of illegal additions, alterations or structural changes; order the discontinuance of any illegal work being done; or take any other action authorized by this Zoning Code to ensure compliance with, or to prevent violation of, its provisions.
